Fire of Destiny 

Xion. A land that has been hidden from most of the world. Some say it's a land of fantasy and wonder beyond your wildest imaginations, others say that it's just a child's fairy tail. But Xion is very real my friends. For this story is about this land and a very special dragon named BlackBlood. You heard me correctly my friends I did say a dragon and now it's time for me to tell you all his story.

Origins Part 1:
Xion is home to many different types of creatures that many people wouldn't even believe existed. Dragons are one such creature that thrive in the land of Xion. In the forest near the city of Whitefall lies an evergreen forest named Pillar forest. Pillar forest earned its name for its trees  that grew so tall that they almost resembled pillars you would see in a temple or citadel. Deep within Pillar forest was a small cave that was home of two dragons with one dark grey egg almost close to hatching. The parents of this egg went by the names of Sapphire and Acturo.

Sapphire was your average height dragoness who had dark gray scales that seemed to shine brightly in the moonlight and her underbelly was a bright crimson red color.  Her wings and membrane were the same colors respectively as well. She had long dark brown hair as soft as the softest cotton that ran all the way from her head to her tail. She earned the name Sapphire because of her bright blue eyes. Her eyes radiated with kindness and compassion but showed power when protecting the ones she loves. Her claws were of an onyx color and sharp as daggers and her fire was something you didn't want to experience.

She was a very kind dragoness that was always willing to help those in need regardless of what species they were. To some she was like an older sister that they never had and to others a loyal friend. However she is fiercely protective of the ones she loved and will show no mercy to anyone trying to cause them harm as she was a very experienced and skilled fighter on her mothers side of the family.

Acturo was known for being a somewhat of a hot head at a young age thanks to his parents relationship troubles(mainly his father). He was a powerful male dragon that showed a lot of potential of being a powerful fire wielder when he lived in Whitefall. Despite his hothead temper he was a very shy dragon when around others. Unless you pissed him off then he isn't so shy and more of an aggressive fighter. His fire was known to have a darker color the angrier he becomes. The fire he possessed was known as Inferno and only grew stronger and deadlier the more rage he would feel at someone or something on his mind. The elders in Whitefall were not sure where this Inferno fire originally came from but kept a close eye on Acturo as he grew up.

Acturo had bright red scales with a light gray underbelly. He had two horns on his head which were a similar color to his under belly and the tip of his tail had crescent shaped blade. Like Sapphire his wings and membrane were the same colors as his scales and underbelly.His claws were a polished white that gleamed in the light and were curved slightly at the tips. His red eyes showed power but control as the years went by. He has a few scars on his thighs and chest from past fights with other dragons in Whitefall.

The two met inside one of Whitefall’s many market districts when they were very young and became close friends through all of their wild and in some cases dangerous adventures. As time passed the two began to fall for each other and it wasn't long until they confessed their love to one another in the citadel and became mates shortly after. They then decided to move out of Whitefall and head into Pillar forest to create a new home and to start a family together.

Now forward two years later on a cool crisp evening, the two dragons awaited the arrival of their child as they waited for their egg to hatch in their den as the sun slowly descended. Acturo kept a close eye on the egg as many thoughts came to his head. He was excited to becoming a father but at the same time he was concerned. He didn't want to be anything like his father and he especially didn't want his child to have the same relationship Acturo had with his father. As he was in deep thought, Sapphire calmly got up from her spot on the other side of the nest and sat beside him.

“Something on your mind?” She asked as her question made him snap out of his trance as he looked at her.
“It's just…I'm worried that I”ll become like my father. I'm eager to becoming a father but at the same time I'm worried that I might not be a good father to our child.”
He lets out a sigh as he looks down at the ground. He looks up to Sapphire as he felt her paw gently rub his cheek as she kissed him softly.
“Acturo…I know without a doubt you will be a wonderful father to our child. You are nothing like your father and you have shown that to me time and time again.” She nuzzles him affectionately. “Please don't beat yourself up love. You will do fine. I know it”

Acturo looks at her for a moment before a smile started to form on his face. She was right. He was ready to become a father and more importantly care for his family. He nuzzles her back before holding her gently laying his head on top of hers softly. “I love you Sapphire..” He whispered to her.
“I love you too Acutro..” She replies with a smile as she enjoyed being in his embrace. The two dragons stayed in this embrace not wanting to let go enjoying each other’s company. Suddenly the two dragons heard a crackling noise as their heads looked toward the egg. To their surprise the egg was starting to hatch as small cracks started to form on the egg.

The two dragons jumped to their feet in surprise and quickly got closer awaiting to see their child finally come out of the egg. “Come on out little one….you can do it” Sapphire said softly in a gentle motherly tone as she and Acturo watched in anticipation. Slowly the egg started to crack more and more as small parts of the egg started to fall off. After a couple of moments the egg finally cracked open as a small dragon appeared in front of Acturo and Sapphire’s eyes.

The small dragon had dark gray scales and long dark brown hair that ran down all the way to the tip of his tail with a bright crimson red underbelly. The hatchling had two white horns on the sides of his head and bright red eyes. It's wings and wing membrane were the same colors as its scales and underbelly with the claws on his paws were white. Acturo and Sapphire looked at a their newly hatched child in awe as tears fell down Sapphire’s face as a smile appeared on her face.

Sapphire slowly picks up the child in her arms as the hatchling let out a chirp Sapphire nuzzled him purring softly.
“We have a son Acturo..” She says as she gave their new hatched son to Acturo as he held him in his arms smiling softly nuzzling his nose against his son who let out a giggle.
“He’s beautiful…he’s got your looks”. His reply caused Sapphire to giggle softly as she smiled at him.
“And he’s got your eyes sweetie.” She replied back as Acturo smiled back at her before putting their attention to their son. “What should we name him Sapphire?” Acturo asked as he looked at her briefly. She closes her eyes as she thought about what name would be perfect for their child. After a few moments she opened her eyes and looked back at Acturo.
“How about…..BlackBlood?” She suggested to Acturo.
“BlackBlood…hmm……I like it. I like it a lot Sapphire.” Acutro said with a smile as the two new parents nuzzle their son as their love for their son grew stronger.
“Our little BlackBlood…"
